DGR 2018: Rejoining the Gentry in Vancouver BC.

I have had several friends who have had their battles with  cancer. Colleagues who have felt the loss of a loved one from suicide, because of hidden mental health issues. Their stories lead me last year to join “the gentry,” of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, a dapper group of motorcycle riding men and women to help support men’s health. This year, on Sunday the 30th of September, I plan on rejoining the gentry once again to support their cause.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (or DGR) is an annual ride across 650 worldwide cities to raise awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health. But before I press my tweed and straighten my tie, I am asking you to help donate what you can for this meaningful cause and help me reach my goal again this year.

[O]ver 120,000 distinguished gentlefolk in over 650 cities worldwide will don their cravats, tustle their ties, press their tweed, and sit astride their classic and vintage styled motorcycles to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

I will be riding with (currently) 41,468 riders across the globe, and will be joining up with my neighbors to the north in the Vancouver DGR. Last year I joined up with the Vancouver DGR and rode the streets of Vancouver, and personally raised $200 for the Movemeber Foundation.

Tuned to The Bellingham Podcast (available wherever you podcast) Epiosde 52 “Ride Dapper”, to catch an interview and coverage from the day of last year’s ride!

If you feel like you want to help with the Movemeber Foundation, the link in this post will take you to my rider profile where you can help sponsor me.

My appreciation to my friends and patrons for your support with this!
